Mayberry card

I dug out my Mayberry kit to use up some scraps for this one. The challenge was paper piecing from the Ribbon Carousel, and the sketch was from Sweet Sunday Sketch. I thought the little diamonds on one of the B&T's would be perfect to paper piece into the stitched flower from Just for You. I like the way it turned out.

CAS-ual Friday is PINK

Here's my pink card for CAS-ual Fridays. It's my first time making a card with a lot of "white space" (pink space LOL).  I like the way it turned out. And I'm a Mary Kay girl, so I love pink :) This stamp set from Pemberly WOTG is always done with blue and brown or yellow, or just black and white. I like it better in pink :)

Materials used:
Paper: White cardstock (not CTMH), Baby Pink cardstock
Stamps: Pemberly WOTG
Inks: Hollyhock
Other: Bitty Pearls

A Day for Daisies and Craft-a-Scene

I don't have any copics, and I like the look of it in black and white, so I just left it that way. Close To My Heart is discontinuing their markers, so I'm holding out until convention (less than 2 weeks away!!!!) to purchase copics, CTMH markers, or anything similar. I used the free digi image from A Day for Daisies and then CTMH's Perfect Day stamp set to do the background. I think it looks kind of cool. What do you think? Craft-a-scene's challenge was beach themed - you have to have a bit of sand and water. A Day for Daisies' theme was texture, so I added the Ponderosa Pine Sassy Strands.

Materials used:
Paper: White cardstock (not CTMH), Crystal Blue cardstock
Stamps: ADFD free digi stamp  (ot CTMH), Perfect Day
Ink: Black
Other: Sassy Strands

ColourQ and Pals Paper Arts

Last week my patriotic card was in the top 3 at Pals Paper Arts! It was my first time, hopefully not my last. I think my artwork is improving. Any feedback would be helpful!!!!!

I was chosen as a Colour Q courtier for this card I submitted last week. I'm so excited!!!!

Here is a new one for Colour Q, and I used the sketch at Pals Paper Arts.
PPA137
I was inspired by the paisley in this blouse, and when I saw that there was a paisley stamp in the rock the block set, I knew I just had to use it. So I random stamped this piece of paper and layered it onto a Buttercup card base. Doesn't that pattern rock?!?!

I'm also entering this into heart2heart's wedding theme challenge.

Paper: White cardstock (not CTMH), Buttercup and Pacifica cardstock
Stamps: Rock the Block

baby thank you card

The Friday challenge at Frosted Designs was to create your own embellishments. I made my own embellishments by stamping the teddy bear in Crystal Blue ink and embossing him with Clear Detail Embossing Powder, then cutting him out with the 1 1/4 inch Circle Punch and stamping "thank you" all around. This sketch is from the Sweet Stop.

Melon Mambo

ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com

This is a card I made for these 4 challenges. Dynamic Duos said to use Melon Mambo and Black. I used Smoothie, but I think Melon Mambo is a funny name. I had to use 3 papers, 3 buttons, 3 flowers, and 3 pearls for crazy4 challenges. I found 3 patterned papers with Smoothie: Mayberry, Dotty for You, and Roxie. Those were my textures for the twist at Sweet Stop, (also the grosgrain ribbon). The challenge at Our Creative Corner was to use buttons and burlap or bows. I didn't have any burlap, so I used a bow.

Materials used:
B&Ts: Mayberrie, Roxie, Dotty for You
Cardstock: white (not CTMH), Black
Stamps: Sweet Moments
Inks: Smoothie, Black
Other: Smoothie buttons, Smoothie ribbon, White Daisy Just Blooms Paper Flowers, Mocha Opaques adhesive pearls

Sweet Sketch Wednesday and ColourQ

Here is a card I made for Sweet Sketch Wednesday and ColourQ:

I thought the Patterned Paper from Dotty for You would be perfect for this challenge. The colors are just right! I just added some Sunflower carstock and ink to tie it in, and it was perfect! I love these patterns. It's could be a do-it-yourself pattern if you had the stamps to do it, because all of them corollate to stamps we sell! The CTMH colors I used were: Heavenly Blue, Lagoon, Sunflower, and Smoothie... and Colonial White as the neutral!

Materials used:
Paper: Dotty for You, Sunflower and Colonial White cardstock
Stamps: Enjoy Life
Inks: Heavenly Blue, Lagoon, Sunflower
Other: Just Blooms Paper Flowers, Smoothie Brads and Bigger Brads
