Drawing

I used to like to draw, and something I saw recently inspired me to try again. I drew this portrait of my daughter and turned it into a card. I colored it in with CTMHs alcohol markers, but there is no flesh colored one, so I used my old Taffy marker. It doesn't blend well, and that's why you can see the lines on her skin. I also would like to get some browns and a lighter yellow. Some of our markers are on backorder, so I will get those whenever they become available. For my first try, I don't think it's too bad. I am entering this into the one-layer challenge at Less is More where the challenge is to use any shaped card but a square/rectangle; I know they'll tell me I don't have enough white space, but it wasn't really possible on this card.

Materials used:
Cardstock: White Daisy
Old Style markers (retired): Taffy, Desert Sand
Other: black Slick Writer (not CTMH)

  1. It is great to draw again! I have done a sketch drawing for my card as well, though not as ambitious or sweet as yours.

    Keep being creative!!

  3. It must be very difficult to try to blend colours without the benefit of alcohol markers... great job Sarah!
    Thanks so much
