Heart 2 Heart Birthday Card

The challenge over at the Shabby Tea Room was to make a birthday card with a cupcake on it, using this photo as inspiration:
I used the sketch from Heart2Heart:
This card was made with my daughter in mind. She turns 3 in 2 weeks.
I used a Colonial White card base with the Sorbet pattern from Elemental. I stitched around that piece with Chocolate embroidery floss. The dark blue is Pacifica and the pink is Baby Pink. I stamped the sentiment in Sorbet ink from the Art Philosophy Celebration stamp set. The Heavenly Blue lace is punched from a Martha Stewart punch. The Heavenly Blue cupcake is cut from the AP cartridge, stamped with the same stamp set using VersaMark, embossed with Silver embossing powder, and attached with 3D foam tape. I alsocut the rose from AP and I topped it all off with a Pretty Pin and a Sorbet bow.

  1. such a beautiful rose, Sarah - on the cupcakes and the card cupcake! How does your garden grow? In paper and fondant? Thanks so much for sharing your cute card on H2H this week and happy birthday wishes to your little one.
