Shades of Grey with Color Dare #176

This week at Color My Heart we are challenging you to use Black, White Daisy, Slate, and Whisper. I had one pic from Halloween that I wanted to scrapbook, so I though I might use the Nevermore paper. But I didn't get the paper pack, just the swatches. When I looked at my swatches and saw that I didn't have enough from Nevermore, I saw a bunch of grey and black & white paper in there. So I got the idea to cut 2-inch strips and arrange them on a white background with the picture matted in the center. So I cut strips from La Vie en Rose, Georgie, Nevermore, and Zoe. I also had some from Urban, but they didn't end up fitting. So, it's a hodgepodge, but it works with this color combo! For embellishments, I added some felt stickers and a zip strip from the retired Mischief paper pack.

Come play along!

Materials used:
Cardstock: White Daisy, Whisper
B&Ts: Nevermore, Georgie, Zoe, La Vie En Rose, Mischief

  1. I love your arrangement of patterned papers--what a brilliant solution to the Color Dare challenge. The neutral tones of the paper really puts the focus on the darling picture of the trick or treaters. Thanks for the inspiration!
