52CCT November Technique

This week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, we are challenging you to do an acrylic block background technique. I chose to use the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch for my card. I inked the block in Holiday Red and sprayed it with my stamp cleaner for that speckled effect. Then I just drew a border inside with a black marker.

Materials used:
Cardstock: White Daisy
B&Ts: Believe
Stamps: To You and Yours
Ink: Holiday Red, Sky, Sweet Leaf
Other: Black Marker

  1. Very pretty card, Sarah! I love your acrylic block stamped background with the CAS(E) this sketch sketch. I will have to try this technique soon!
    :) Marie

  3. I really love that Holiday Red - its so perfect for Christmas Cards. Lovely card - I really like how you chose to highlight the blocked color.

P.S. Trey is not liking the cold weather too much :o) Thanks for asking. Hope you are doing well (and the family as well ). Hugs D

  4. I really like the dappled effect you've got on your card. I also like the way you've defined the stamped block with the border. Lovely card!

  5. So sorry I'm late with my comment, Sarah, but this is such a stunning way to use the technique-love that the print takes centre stage. The border is a perfect touch, love your very trendy Christmas card, hope you enjoyed the challenge
