52CCT Color Challenge for August

This week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, I have a color challenge for you. These are meaningful colors to me because they were my wedding colors. I got married in fall, but they are great Christmas colors too. They are Red and Gold.

I used the Merry Monday sketch for this week.

Summer Mini Album

I finally got my Artbooking cartridge TODAY! I couldn't wait, so I went ahead and made one of the mini books for these challenges:

My Cricut has been messing up, so along with the cartridge, I ordered a new blade and a new mat. That helped immensely! I couldn't believe how easy it was to make all these cuts! I was a little disappointed that they don't have all the completed pages shown for you, so you have to be creative. That's one thing that I'm not (so much), so it's not as pretty as it could be. I didn't use any stamping, just paper and a few embellishments. It will look much better once I get the pictures in it!

I made a summer theme, and I used the bonus key for Rose Blossom Garden. I will use this as a vacation/cruise album, which will count for the Bon Voyage challenge at Heart2Heart. Artbooking has really neat overlays, which are a new form of texture, which counts for the texture challenge at the Pink Elephant.

I made a very girly card for a girl who did a great job at school. I paper pieced her outfit with the Lucy paper pack. She is supposed to have a toy or a pet for Sentimental Sundays, so she has her little purse that she plays dress up with! The sentiments are from the Superhero WOTG.
