I haven't participated in any challenges for a while, so I thought, "What if I just combined them all into one card?" I don't do that very often, and I know I'll be breaking the rules on one or two challenges, but I think it was worth it. I LOVE this card! It is a VERY non-traditional Christmas card, but it makes me happy. Here are the challenges:
Pink Elephant - Anything Goes
Merry Monday - Tic Tac Toe (I did ribbon, cute, & designer paper)
Heart 2 Heart - Clean and Simple
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Psalm 73:26
Sentimental Sundays - Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers
Opus Gluei - Movies (I chose Mixed Nuts)
Crazy4Challenges - texture (my felt letters)
52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - felt (letters)
Less is More - Paper Piercing
CAS-ual Fridays - Silver
A Day For Daisies - die cut (wooden butterfly)
Frosted Designs - bold colors and patterns
Black Tie Fridays - Animals (butterflies)
Color Throwdown - I used Smoothie, Sweet Leaf, Buttercup, and Cashmere
Inspired By - I was inspired by the pink and the little flowers
For Your Inspiration - pink and outdoors
Freshly Made Sketches
I think that's all. :)
Update: I decided to link up with
Pile it On, who's having a "sunshine" challenge this week. I mean, why not pile on another one?
Here is a close up on the letters:
Here is the inside:
For the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, I colored my wooden butterfly with my silver metallic marker, then added Silver Glitz Glitter Gel. I chose the movie Mixed Nuts for the Opus Gluei challenge because it is a Christmas movie that takes place in California, so it's warm and bright and sunshiny. It's one of my favorites.
For Heart2Heart, CAS-ual Fridays, and Less is More, where the challenges are Clean and Simple, I made sure to use minimal layers, and keep some white space. For Freshly Made, I made sure to add no distressing.

Disclaimer: Some might say, when you use X-mas to replace Christmas, you are trying to x Christ out of Christmas. But here is a little known fact. In Greek, the word Christ starts with an X. Greek was the language he spoke. That's why X-mas is short for Christmas.
