Orange! (Color Dare 117)

This week's color dare was to use orange, any shade of orange, on your project. My favorite from CTMH is Autumn Terracotta. We had a beautiful fall this year, and I got some pretty pictures, so I wanted to feature them in a layout this week. I got sick, so I didn't get to make this layout on time, so here it is, 5 days late.

I cased this layout from Annual Inspirations p. 55. The layout is MIFYH vol. 1, pat. 18. I used the Pathfinding paper pack and the Fall Harvest stamp set.

Come join us this week at Color My Heart!

CAS Vintage

I was looking at my Saturday inspirations, and found these challenges:

Sketches: Retro Sketches, 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
Less is More: Non-traditional Christmas colors
Our Creative Corner: Use a Nature Photo and a vintage style
Just Us Girls: Wreath

I found this photo of my girls and their snowman:

So I found it in my file under Feb. 2012, added a Sepia tone in PicMonkey, and edited that big black leaf off of Susanna's face:

Looks pretty vintage-y, right? Then I printed it on cardstock, cropped it down, and added it to a 5x7 card with some layers of black, white and kraft.

I added some pink sparkles for a non-traditional pop of color.

Materials used:
Cardstock: Black, White Daisy, Kraft
Stamps: Holiday Wishes, Avonlea Scrapbooking WOTG
Ink: White Daisy, Chocolate, VersaMark
Other: White embossing powder, Prisma Glitter, Pink & Purple Sparkles, Cocoa Ribbon Rounds, White Baker's Twine, Florets Just Blooms Paper Shapes

Color Dare 116 with Scaredy Cat

Here's my Scaredy Cat layout for Color Dare 116 - Thistle & Sunset. The layout is Up The Tempo from Imagine.

I used the "halloween" letter stickers to spell out "How Neat" (with the "t" being the upside down "l"). My kids usually pass out candy on Halloween, so I will probably put pictures of that on this page.

Come join us this week at Color My Heart!

Materials used:

Color Dare 113 with Let's Get Together

This week at Color My Heart we're challenging you to use Cranberry, Canary, and Glacier on your project. I used the paper pack Let's Get Together to make a layout. This pack contained Garden Green and Breeze in addition to Cranberry and Buttercup, but I left out the green and substituted a sheet of Glacier cardstock for the Breeze.

I know, these are funny pictures, but my kids and I were just having fun one day comparing our feet, so I grabbed my camera and snapped some photos! It was fun. I was surprised at how well this paper pack matched these pictures, too!

The layout is Elegant Context from Cherish (left side):

So, if you're up for it, grab your scrapping supplies, and come play along with us this week!

Cardstock: White Daisy, Cranberry, Glacier
B&Ts: Let's Get Together
