I haven't made a card for my favorite challenges in a while, and it's high time I get back to it! I am looking forward to getting CTMH's NEW alcohol-based markers, but in the meantime, I'm using some of the retired water-based ones. That way I'll be even more impressed by how well they do. This will be one of my first times using the retired markers. I just got them about a month ago.
Here's my card:
I made this card for these challenges:
A Day for Daisies - Fabric or Fibers
The Play Date Cafe - Pink Carnation, Orange Sherbet, Lemonade
Cas-ual Fridays - Square Card
Deconstructed Sketch
I did get 1 set of our alcohol markers at convention. It was Cotton Candy, so all the pink coloring is with those. The rest of it is with the water markers. As you can see, although the colors are rich and the markers are good quality, you can see the lines from the coloring. And if you make more than 2 layers, the paper will start to tear. That doesn't happen with the new ones! I'm really looking forward to them!
Materials used:
Paper: White Daisy, Buttercup, and Sunset cardstock
Stamps: Mad About You, digi image from a Day for Daisies (not CTMH)
Inks: Cotton Candy
Markers: Cotton Candy (new), Chocolate, Taffy, Sunset, and Buttercup (old)
Other: Prisma Glitter, ribbon (from my stash)
That's too bad that your "new" markers are retired...I hope you like the alcohol markers. :) This image is so sweet, and the coloring is great! It's such a sweet card. Thanks for joining us at The Play Date Cafe!
