Father's Day Cards

I had some free time today, so I decided to participate in some challenges. I made some Father's Day cards with the Victory paper pack and Stickease, since I already had it out for my Color Dare layout. I'm also entering these cards into these challenges:

I used the same sketch for both cards, but made one landscape and one portrait. I used the plaid side of the paper for the first card:

And the camo side of the paper for the second one:

I will give one of these to my dad, and one to my father-in-law.

Color Dares 96 and 97

It's been a while since I posted to this blog. I have been faithfully blogging each day at 365 No Repeats. I've been making a Crock Pot recipe a day. Needless to say, I've been eating well! But I have to feed my family. What I haven't been doing is scrapbooking. But I got some time with my friend tonight, and we each made 2 layouts! It's better than nothing. Here's my first, for Color Dare 96, Creme Brulee, Sorbet, and Crystal Blue. Balloon Ride. The layout is from Magic - One-Way Mirror:

Florist Christmas

It's not usual that I combine two sketches into one card, but these were so similar that I couldn't help myself. I know it's not the CASest card, so I probably won't win anything at Less is More, but I like the layers. At least they inspire me.

Color Dare 94 with Sonata

Our colors this week at Color My Heart are Buttercup and Hollyhock. I had the perfect paper pack, except that it had spots of Lilac Mist in it. No problem, I just grabbed some yellow and pink brads and flowers and covered up the blue! Here is my layout:

Aren't my kids cute? It was so hard to get them to sit still for these pictures, but it was worth it!

Color Dare 93 with Cruisin'

Hi! Our colors at Color My Heart this week are Cranberry, Honey, Juniper, and Twilight. I got these colors from the Cruisin' kit we had a few years ago. I made this layout using the level two complements, no stamping required!

The layout is from Reflections: Sidebar-Main Frame. These pictures are of my son back in January.

It's been a while since I've made a card or participated in some challenges. The new baby has been keeping me busy. But I found some Sunday challenges that go well together, so I made this card for these challenges:

Color Dare 92 with Cherry-O

Here's what's been going on in my life. I'm getting used to having a fourth child at home. She is one month old now. I've been spending a lot of time nursing her. The rest of my time is spent feeding my children and taking them to and from school. I've been trying to keep up with scrapbooking, so I just got a lot of pictures developed. I haven't had time for much else, like paying bills (oops), the book I'm supposed to read for my book club tomorrow (!), and preparing for my gathering (also tomorrow!). It looks like I'll have a busy day... I also wanted to go to Green Bay to pick up my portraits, but that might have to wait till Sunday.

Anyway, here is the layout I made for this week's color dare: Crystal Blue and Sweet Leaf. I found these pictures and made a layout to go with them using the backside of the Cherry-O B&T.
