The Cross

I was inspired by this week's art from Word Art Wednesday. The verse really hits home with me right now, to be more of Christ and less of the world. I was also inspired by the colors in the photo at Inspired By. The sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Click on the  photo if you can't read the verse. I used Florentine paper, and a faux stitching technique around the edge of the Twilight layer.

Materials used:
Cardstock: Chocolate, Colonial White, Twilight
B&Ts: Florentine
Stamps: He is Risen, word art from WAW (not CTMH)
Ink: Chocolate
Other: Basic Brads Assortment, Spring Blossom Just Blooms

52CCT October Technique - Fancy Folds!

This week's challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown is to make a fancy-fold card. Now I don't know if I've ever even attempted one before, so I had to do some googling! I found this website and CASED her tri-fold card because I loved it so much. She also has a great tutorial about how to make these, so go check it out!

Materials used:
Cardstock: Cranberry, Colonial White
B&Ts: Pear & Partridge
Stamps: Glory to God
Ink: Chocolate
Other: Silver Glitz Glitter Gel

Our colors for color dare #66 at Color My Heart are Gypsy and Buttercup. I made a gift bag for a new baby, and I'm also entering it into these challenges:

Frosted Designs
Heart 2 Heart

This bag is 5 inches tall and is cut from the Artiste cartridge.

Materials used:

Other: Paradise Baker's Twine, Artiste Cricut Cartridge, Clear Buttons

Two Hearts...

Crazy4Challenges had a crazy challenge this week: a sketch, color, AND theme! Here is the challenge photo:

Here is my card:
I altered the sketch just a little, but you can still tell. I made the background panel above and below the circle instead of right behind it. I really like how this turned out. CTMH doesn't have colors like this, even though they're kind of trendy. I used some old cardstock that I had from my days before CTMH. I like this combo.

Materials used:
Cardstock: Colonial White, scraps from my stash (not CTMH)
Stamps: Precious Love
Ink: Black, VersaMark
Other: Gold Embossing Powder

WORD Art

Here is some artwork from the Word. I used the sketch from CASE This Sketch from last week, and the word art from Word Art Wednesday from last week. I made this card last week, but I didn't get a chance to upload it. I've ben busy because we had our anniversary on Wed, plus Dr.'s apts, grocery shopping, and all kinds of stuff. So here it is, a little late.

Materials used:
 Cardstock: Black, White Daisy
Stamps: Classy Doily, WAW word art (not CTMH)
Ink: Sweet Leaf
Other: Silver Bitty Brads, vellum (not CTMH)

OWH Penguins

I made this penguin card for two Operation Write Home Challenges.

Late again!

I started making this card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday, but my vellum got caught in the printer. It took me 4 days to figure out how to get it out! That's why this card is so late! I'm using the colors from ColourQ and the image from A Day for Daisies.
