I used my kit to make a second advent calendar. I used the insides of the frames and stamped the shapes and numbers on with black Staz-On. I cut out the outside of the shapes out of Colonial White cardstock. The colors I used are Ruby, Crystal Blue, Cocoa, New England Ivy, and Olive. I really like it. The colors are much brighter and the white does a good job of setting off the colors. This one is for my sister-in-law.
I made this advent calendar exactly like the instructions call for, only with the changes mentioned above.

November Blog Hop
Happy November! Welcome to our Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Bev G.’s Blog, then you are on the right path.
If you are just starting here, simply follow the trail until you have visited
all of the blogs in the hop. You will know you reached the end when you wind up
back here. This month we have decided to go with Pattern 2 from the Make It From
Your Heart how-to book. When you are done viewing my project, I encourage you to
hop on over to Carol’s Blog and check out what she has
created this month!
I have been very busy, and I have discovered that I ADORE making level 2 projects. Close to My Heart's paper pack complements are second to NONE! They make your project beautiful every time! So this month, I made a level 2 layout using Lucy (BTW, if you don't know, level 2 means no stamping). The complements to the Lucy pack are glittery rub-ons.
Unfortunately, I'm having my photos shipped, and they haven't arrived yet, so I don't have any on the layout yet. But I got some really cute pictures of my girls playing dress up to go on these pages!
Materials used:
Cardstock: Sweet Leaf (X5639), Petal (retired), & Baby Pink (retired)
B&Ts: Lucy (retired)
Complements: Lucy Rub-ons (retired)
In addition to pattern 2 of Make it From Your Heart, we are also featuring the second card pattern in the book. I made this card for the Color My Heart color dare: colormyheartcolordare.blogspot.com.
This is a fun, if cheesy little card. But my husband loves it! He thinks that robot looks like someone from Futurama. :)
Materials used:
Cardstock: Black (1386)
B&Ts: Lucy (retired), Mischief (retired), Moonlight (X7161B)
Stamps: Outta This World (C1523)
Ink: Basics Mini Pigment Pad Set (Whisper, Black) (Z2503)
Now hop over to Carol's blog to see what she has created!

Dance Layout
I am trying to catch up on my scrapbooking from this year. My daughter started ballet last month, so it's about time I made a dance layout. I got my inspiration from 4 Friday challenges:
A Day for Daisies - popped-up butterflies
CAS-ual Fridays - over the edge
Frosted Designs - dance/sports
iSpy Sketches - simple sketch

Here is my layout:
I like the way it turned out. I like the clean and simple look, and the 2 stamp sets are great together. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of my daughter at ballet developed yet, but when I get it, it will go in the middle.
Materials used:
B&Ts: Lucy
Cardstock: Colonial White, Grey Wool
Stamps: Childhood Portrait, Live Out Loud; ADFD digital butterflies (not CTMH)
Ink: Grey Wool
Markers: Blush
Embellishments: Sparkle flourish (I've been saving it for a special layout!)

October Blog Hop
Welcome to our October Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Bev G.’s Blog, then you

out what she has created this month!
I was in a hurry to make this since my life has been all-consumed by moving. It was nice to be able to create a little, but I just made a level 2 project. I used Stella Level 2 paper pack and Level 2 Canvas Complements. The pictures of my son are when he turned 11 months old. Isn't he adorable with his little dimples?
This layout didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, but I still like it. I thought the little birdy and the little beetles would be cute for a baby boy, but it is a little girly. Anyway, there you go.
I also made the first card pattern in the book with my leftover Stella papers and canvas shapes. I did use some stamping for the sentiment, but that is all:
Materials used:
B&Ts: Stella
Cardstock: Cocoa, Colonial White
Complements: Stella canvas Shapes
Stamps: Card Word Puzzle
Ink: Cocoa
Other: Cocoa grosgrain ribbon (retired)
How-to book: Make it From Your Heart - Vol. 1
Please contact me at sarahstone@marykay.com if you wish to purchase any of these items, or log on to my website www.sarahstone.ctmh.com to shop online.
Now hop on over to Carol's blog to see her take on these sketches!
