Sweet Sketch Wednesday and ColourQ

Here is a card I made for Sweet Sketch Wednesday and ColourQ:

I thought the Patterned Paper from Dotty for You would be perfect for this challenge. The colors are just right! I just added some Sunflower carstock and ink to tie it in, and it was perfect! I love these patterns. It's could be a do-it-yourself pattern if you had the stamps to do it, because all of them corollate to stamps we sell! The CTMH colors I used were: Heavenly Blue, Lagoon, Sunflower, and Smoothie... and Colonial White as the neutral!

Materials used:
Paper: Dotty for You, Sunflower and Colonial White cardstock
Stamps: Enjoy Life
Inks: Heavenly Blue, Lagoon, Sunflower
Other: Just Blooms Paper Flowers, Smoothie Brads and Bigger Brads

Flowers card

Here's a card I made for Color Throwdown, Freshly Made Sketches, and CAS-ual Fridays:
I used vellum for the first time on a card. The challenge at Cas-ual Fridays was to use acetate or vellum. I stamped on it, then heat set it, so it wouldn't smudge. I made the woodgrain and the flowers to mimic the inspiration photo from Color Throwdown. I really like that photo!

Rosette Card

So, I was gone all day today, but I'd been wanting to make this card, and the ideas were forming in my head, so I just had to put it together before I went to bed. I'm really tired because I was berry picking earlier. Here's a little taste of it for you:

And I'm eating a piece of this delicious pie right now!

So now on to my card. I made this card for 4 challenges. I had really been wanting to do the case study, but it took me so long to come up with an idea that I missed the cutoff! Oh well, I'm doing it anyway! This is the inspiration card:

I used the sketch from Card Patterns and the challenge at Our Creative Corner was to use your favorite Tim Holtz Technique. I chose to make the rosette. I've never done one of his techniques before, and since it's the only one I know about (I watched the video), it's officially my favorite! :)

And the colors from Dynamic Duos:

Here is my card:
Materials used:
Paper: Bliss Bulk B&T's, Grey Flannel and Blush cardstock
Stamps: Card Word Puzzle, Quick Cards - Butterfly
Ink: Black
Other: Pink Sparkles
Tools: Embossing Tool, Sanding Kit

Blue Lily Card

I made this card for A Day for Daisies. Their challenge was to use something "Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue" in honor of June weddings. I used their lone lily digital stamp and colored it with my blending pen and CTMH inks and markers. The "old" was an old button and pearl I pulled out of a big bag of buttons I got at the thrift store. The "new" was a paper pack I hadn't opened yet- Bliss Bulk. I borrowed a ribbon from my daughter, and the "blue" is all through the card - expecially the lily. I used the sketch from the Sweet Stop.

Materials used:
Paper: Bliss B&Ts, Dutch Blue and Lilac Mist cardstock, white cardstock (not CTMH)
Stamps: Precious Love, ADFD digital lily (not CTMH)
Inks: Dutch Blue, Spring Iris, Lilac Mist, Moonstruck
Markers: Olive, Pacifica, Blending Pen
Other: Brown ribbon, button, pearl from my stash (not CTMH)

Dotty For You card

This is a super modern card with an old fashioned technique called: handwriting. LOL :) I made this using the color inspiration from Inspired By and with the challenges from CAS-ual Fridays (spots) and Crazy for Challenges (circles).

Materials used:
Paper: Dotty For You; Honey cardstock
Other: 1 1/4 inch circle punch, Black Marker
