Another Mother's Day Card

This one's for my dear MIL. I used the sketch from Freshly Made, the colors from Color Throwdown, and I put some cupcakes on there for the Simon Says sweet tooth challenge.

Mother's Day Card

This card is for 4 challenges: ColourQ, Ribbon Carousel, Cards&Things, and Runway Inspired.

For these colors, I chose Sunny Yellow, Sunset, New England Ivy, Sweet Leaf, and White Daisy.


The pretty design on her top reminded me of  the Sunset paper in Dotty for you, not the colors, but the pattern. I also chose the background stamp from Circle of Love to resemble the pattern on her blouse.

Mother's Day set for Monday Challenges

Today's Monday. I had made 3 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards using Dotty for You. The challenges today are Mojo Monday, Heart2Heart, The Pink Elephant, and the Shabby Tea Room. I decided to make a Mother's Day set with my 3 cards, so I needed 1 more. I used the Mojo Monday sketch to make a Mother's day card - Mother was the theme for the Pink Elephant and Heart2Heart. The Shabby Tea Room challenge was a color challenge with an inspiration photo and we had to use a Rose. Here is the photo:

The Rose was made by cutting out 3 layers of 3 roses on the Dotty for You rose pattern and adhering them with pop dots.

I made the Fry Box to hold the cards to showcase our Art philosophy collection at a gathering I'm conducting tonight.
