The colors for Color My Heart this week are Sky, Blush, and Buttercup. I made an Easter card. The sketch is from Pals Paper Arts, and I CASEd one of the design team members, Cindy Hall.
Materials used:
Cardstock: Slate, White Daisy, Blush, Sky
B&Ts: Chantilly
Stamps: Say It In Style, He Is Risen, Circle Of Love
Ink: Sky, Slate, Blush, Buttercup
Other: Bitty Opaques, Cuttlebug embossing folder - Swiss Dots (not CTMH)
Gorgeous! I love the colors for an Easter card. It's so pretty with the stamped cross and swirls! Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts!
ReplyDeleteSImply beautiful card, Sarah. I like how you turned the horizontal elements into banners, with embossing for textural interest. Also a lovely reminder of "the reason for the season..."
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love the combination of colors. The swirls work perfectly with the cross. Thanks for playing at Pals Paper Arts!
ReplyDeleteThis is really a beautiful Easter card. I love the colors. Great job combining the two challenges. Thanks for sharing with us at Pals Paper Arts this week!
ReplyDeleteI looked at that sketch and thought...um, nope. I love how you created something so pretty with it. Sometimes sketches inspire me, and sometimes they intimidate me. I totally love when someone takes an intimidating sketch and makes me go, "Oh! I like THAT take on it." :)
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter card--simple yet elegant! Your card looks much better than the original sketch! Thanks for inspiring us each and every week with such wonderful color combinations!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
:) Marie
